So Why an Ipad? Tablet computing have been eyed by the big players for several, many years now. Bill Gates has been a big advocate of this computing form factor for some time, with Microsoft actually liberating Windows 3 for pen computing some years back for example. Of program we also had Apple company releasing the Apple Newton within 93, as parodied in the Simpsons with the classic clip where Kearney explains to his friend, "... have a memo on your Newton: Beat up Martin. " He scrawls away only to see the Newton's handwriting reputation interpret his memo because "Eat up Martha. " illustrating that we were not quite where we needed to be with the technology.

Seriously, why an ipad? With all the announcement of the ipad and hushed whispers of the dual-screen 'courier' tablet at Redmond, 2010 then may be the year of the gadget, the iPhone has already become more often used as a staple Web device around my home and on the road, although I've often thought 'if only the screen were a bit bigger' or if only it had a physical/tactile key pad, this thought often compelling me to 1 of my laptops, it seems Apple listened to me with the release from the iPad as it ticks both of these boxes.

Everything makes sense to me personally, Apple has already proven the technology behind the iPad works together with the runaway success from the iPhone, so releasing what a few disparagingly call a 'big iPhone' really seems a shrewd proceed Apple's part. Just the thought of using some of my current iPhone apps within the iPad is exciting instruction playing the drums in 'DigiDrummer' without having to try and stop my large fingers straying from their target, playing 'Vs Chess' on the large chess board without needing to strain my eyes not to mention surfing the web correctly without excessive scrolling and also zooming, happy days. The iPad will be much more than a big iPhone of training course, a dedicated iPad Software Development Kit had been released allowing developers to harness the additional screen real estate as well as other features of the new WunderSlate to bring us some truly innovative apps.

Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment... Constant reboots, a questionable interface and an assortment of other annoyances plagued my personal user experience, so the moment I copped hold of my first iPhone on the day it was released and had a play with the device I just knew Apple had gotten it right, no reboots, an intuitive graphical user interface, and with the launch from the app store, well, the app integration had been mind-blowing - downloading apps seamlessly for your handset at the point of a finger.

Applying this particular same experience to tablets Personally i think confident that the iPad really will be a game changer, Microsoft's Windows xp tablets were useful, but too clunky instruction running an OS created for desktop computers primarily had been an annoyance. iPhone OS is built to be simple, stripped down to function being an would expect. There is no multitasking, you focus on one app each time - there are no distractions, of course some would cite this like a negative, but this device does what it's made to do - consume media
